T minus 1
Well, we’re getting down to the final preparation tasks on our boat. We been working pretty hard on the boat trying to get ready for Monday mornings Baja Ha Ha departure.
It seems every time we scratch something off the list we add something else to the list but… I guess eventually you have to make a decision if you’re ready to go or not.
Luckily, I’ve been able to become familiar with all of the various electronic items and other systems on the boat… since I installed everything.
This is a completely different ball of wax when you don’t have a land-based home to store stuff in.
All of the safety items on the list have been completed. Most of the administrative tasks to clear San Diego for who knows how long, have been completed. Car sold, truck stored, storage unit cleaned out, 10 trips to Goodwill, 10 trips to various marine supply stores and the list goes on and on…
We’re never going to have enough time to spend with friends and family before we go. We think we will and then the list of things to do stares us in the face and tells us ‘No. Cowboy.’
So… we’ve finally reached the point where there isn’t any more time. We’re as ready as we can be.
On Monday… next stop Mexico!
