In Boat Projects, Living Aboard by AdamMarch 26, 20175 Comments

After many years of resisting, we installed a Webasto 16000btu air conditioner. The summers have really gotten warm here in San Diego and I sold the idea to Jess as a rocket cooling device. Even though the aft cabin of …

Cruising Mexico

In At Anchor, Blog, Living Aboard, Mexico by JessicaMarch 21, 20172 Comments

This is the iconic Isla San Francisco.  Its super cool as a destination, is a very protected anchorage from north winds and above all, its suuuuuper beautiful. We even saw groups of Dorado swimming around the anchorage. This is what …

Summer Sailing in the Pacific

In Blog, Southern California by AdamMarch 20, 20173 Comments

Some days you just get it right… The wind is perfect, the swell is minimal, the temperature is just right, the music is right… and you’re with the ones that mean the most. Luckily, this happens more often than not. …

Our hummingbird makes an entrance!

In Boat Projects, Southern California by AdamJanuary 17, 20172 Comments

For a long time… we felt we wanted a boat symbol.  You know… for shirts, hats, bow of the boat and etc.  After much patience and a whole lot of ‘what if’s’… we finally narrowed our graphic to the hummingbird.  …

Pacific sunset in late October

In Flying, Southern California by AdamNovember 2, 2016Leave a Comment

I’m lucky.  I’ve been fortunate to witness sunsets like this from my office above the earth. How did we capture scenes like this before smartphones? An amazing sunset..the picture as they say… res ipsa loquitur.

Living and cruising on a sailboat definitely brings you closer to the environment. It truly makes you aware of how much energy you use and how much trash you produce. You have to consider all the needless packaging that surrounds …

Welcome to our floating castle! We’ve lived aboard for over 13 years on this great boat. During that time…we decided to work and save, so that we can fulfill our dream of casting off and setting out for distant places.
We cruised Southern California and the Channel Islands every year. We’ve got our floating home where we want her. Comfortable and safe with a thousand watts of solar power. After completing the 2017 Baja Ha Ha, we cruised the Sea of Cortez and now the Pacific coast of Mexico. Spending the summers and hurricane seasons in Puerto Vallarta, we start there heading south during the cruising season.  We sailed down to El Salvador then turned around when COVID-19 closed most countries in Central America.  Join us as we embark on a great sailing adventure!
