In Mexico by AdamMay 9, 2018Leave a Comment

After a 78nm journey we arrived in Bahia San Francisquito. Most of the day was spent motoring with a few hours flying our Monster Blue Parasailor spinnaker. Seas were mostly following but due to some west winds that blew last …

Feast of Fish

In Mexico by JessicaMay 7, 20182 Comments

After sailing (yes, sailing!) into Bahia Concepcion, we made our way to Playa el Burro, an anchorage about a third of the way down the bay. We spent two nights anchored next to a beach populated with campers, RVs, and two small …

The Cruisers Trifecta

In Mexico by JessicaMay 2, 2018Leave a Comment

May 1, 2018 Leaving Bahia Ballandra, we motored a whopping eight miles to Isla Coronados, a volcanic cone rising from the sea floor. The cone trails a spit of sand that wraps around, forming a secure anchorage. Unfortunately, while beautiful, …

Isla Carmen, Puerto Ballandra

In Mexico by AdamApril 30, 20184 Comments

April 28, 2018 Puerto Ballandra gave us a a picturesque and calm anchorage. We’re moving north pretty fast and we’ve been lucky to have such benign weather. While we wish we could spend more time in these anchorages at least …

The good and the bad

In Mexico by AdamApril 26, 20188 Comments

April 26, 2018 What we’re learning and striving for, is the correct ratio of good to bad. Meaning.. how many great days on the water do we have compared to how many days just plain suck? Luckily our fun/suck ratio …

Welcome to our floating castle! We’ve lived aboard for over 13 years on this great boat. During that time…we decided to work and save, so that we can fulfill our dream of casting off and setting out for distant places.
We cruised Southern California and the Channel Islands every year. We’ve got our floating home where we want her. Comfortable and safe with a thousand watts of solar power. After completing the 2017 Baja Ha Ha, we cruised the Sea of Cortez and now the Pacific coast of Mexico. Spending the summers and hurricane seasons in Puerto Vallarta, we start there heading south during the cruising season.  We sailed down to El Salvador then turned around when COVID-19 closed most countries in Central America.  Join us as we embark on a great sailing adventure!
